Install the pixel on HubSpot

Add the RAVE™ pixel to every HubSpot page with the site header HTML, or to one landing page with its head HTML.

HubSpot lets you add code to every page on your site or to a single page. Use the site-wide header unless you only want RAVE™ on one landing page.

Before you start

  • Add your HubSpot domain as a site in RAVE™. See Add a site.
  • Copy the site's snippet: in your RAVE™ workspace, click Sites, open the site, and use the copy button under 1. Install the pixel.
<script async src="https://rave.cxformula.com/pixel.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY"></script>

Add the pixel to every page

  1. Open HubSpot settings

Click the settings icon in HubSpot.

  2. Go to page templates

Open Website → Pages → Templates.

  3. Paste into Site header HTML

Paste your RAVE™ snippet into Site header HTML, keeping any code already there.

  4. Save

The pixel now loads on your HubSpot pages.

Add the pixel to one landing page

  1. Open the page editor

Open the landing page in HubSpot.

  2. Open advanced settings

Go to the page's Settings → Advanced.

  3. Paste into Head HTML

Paste the snippet into Head HTML.

  4. Publish

    Update or publish the page.

Check that it works

  1. In RAVE™, open a live campaign on this site and click Send test event.
  2. Open your published HubSpot page in a new browser window.
  3. A sample card should appear within about a minute.
  4. Click Delete test events on the campaign page when you're done.

Troubleshooting

  • No card shows. Make sure the page is published and you're viewing it on the domain you added as a RAVE™ site, not in the editor preview.
  • Pages on several HubSpot domains. Add each domain as its own site in RAVE™ and use that site's snippet.
  • Cards on the wrong pages. Use the campaign's Show on and Hide on rules on the Pages tab.

Next steps

To show real form submissions and closed deals, send them to your campaign's webhook URL. With Operations Hub, a HubSpot workflow can send a webhook (POST) directly; otherwise use Zapier with the "New Form Submission" trigger. See How webhooks work. The original guide is at /docs/hubspot.
