RAVE™ Alert, Count and Live cards

What each RAVE™ card shows, real examples, and how to pick the right card for each page of your funnel.

Every RAVE™ campaign shows one or more cards on your pages. There are three kinds, and each one answers a different question a visitor has in their head: "Is anyone else doing this?", "How many people?" and "Is this content worth my time?"

All three cards share the same layout: an avatar with an activity badge, a bold headline, a highlight line (RAVE™ Bright Blue by default), the time, and the "Verified by RAVE™" mark when the activity is real and verified.

RAVE™ Alert

A RAVE™ Alert shows one real person's action, such as a sign-up or a purchase.

  • Headline: {name} {verb}, for example "Sarah K. just joined"
  • Highlight line: {product}!, for example "Ultimate Pack!"
  • Time: "just now", "5 minutes ago" and so on

By default it uses sign-up, registration, purchase, upsell and custom events. It rotates through the most recent people (20 by default, up to 50) and stays hidden until at least one recent person exists.

Use it on opt-in pages, order forms and sales pages, where seeing a real person act right now nudges the next person to do the same.

RAVE™ Count

A RAVE™ Count shows a group number instead of one person. Avatars appear as a small cluster of initials. It has three modes, picked under What to count:

ModeExample
Events in a window"37 people joined" / "in the last 7 days!"
Visits in a window"1,204 people visited" / "in the last 24 hours!"
Viewing right now"12 people are viewing" / "this page right now"

"Viewing right now" counts visitors whose browser checked in during the last 90 seconds, on this page or across the whole site (the Scope setting). The other two modes use a Window (hours) setting: 1 is the last hour, 24 a day, 168 seven days (the default) and 720 thirty days.

A Minimum count keeps the card hidden while the number is too small to impress. The default is 10 for events and visits, and 3 for viewing now. Event counts include only real, verified events, never test events.

Use it on high-traffic pages, webinar registration pages and launches, where volume is the most convincing proof.

RAVE™ Live

A RAVE™ Live shows content engagement: who just watched, attended or completed something.

  • "Mike T. just watched" / "Day 2 Training!"
  • "Priya S. just completed" / "Module 1!"

It works like a RAVE™ Alert but uses watched, attended and completed events by default, with a play or check badge.

Use it on video pages, challenge and course pages, replays and webinar rooms, where showing that others are consuming the content keeps people watching.

Which card should I use?

  • Want people to act? Start with a RAVE™ Alert.
  • Lots of traffic or sign-ups? Add a RAVE™ Count to show the volume.
  • Selling with content (videos, trainings, webinars)? Add a RAVE™ Live.

You can run several cards in one campaign. Visitors see one card at a time, in turn, using the campaign's timing settings.

Add a card to a campaign

  1. Open the campaign

Go to Campaigns in the sidebar and open the campaign.

  2. Add the card

    Under "Add a card", click + RAVE™ Alert, + RAVE™ Count, + RAVE™ Count · viewing now or + RAVE™ Live.

  3. Adjust the wording

On the Cards tab, click Edit on the new card, give it a name if you like (such as "VIP buyers"), and set the event types, verb, highlight line and badge. The preview updates as you type.

  4. Save

Click Save changes. Live pages update within a minute.

What visitors see about people

Cards never show a full last name or an email address. Depending on the campaign's Name format (on the Privacy tab), a person appears as "Sarah K.", "Sarah", or "Someone from Austin". See Privacy and data deletion.

See your cards before real traffic arrives

  • Design tab preview: every card in the campaign with sample people and numbers, on a desktop or phone frame.
  • Preview on my site: opens your real page with every card, including RAVE™ Count with the sample numbers you choose. Only you see it, nothing is recorded, and the link lasts 1 hour. See Campaign settings.
  • Send test event: adds one sample person to RAVE™ Alert and Live for real visitors, for an hour. It doesn't change RAVE™ Count.
