Send ActiveCampaign subscribers to RAVE™

Add a Webhook step to an ActiveCampaign automation so new subscribers or tagged contacts appear in your RAVE™ cards.

If your opt-in forms feed ActiveCampaign, an automation with a Webhook step sends each new subscriber to your RAVE™ campaign. ActiveCampaign includes the contact's name, email and location, and RAVE™ reads them automatically.

Build the automation

  1. Create an automation

In ActiveCampaign, go to Automations → New automation.

  2. Pick a trigger

Use Subscribes to a list for opt-ins, or Tag is added if you tag buyers or registrants.

  3. Add a Webhook step

Add an action from Conditions and Workflow → Webhook.

  4. Paste your RAVE™ URL

Use your campaign's webhook URL with labels, for example https://rave.cxformula.com/api/ingest/YOUR_CAMPAIGN_KEY?source=activecampaign&event=signup.

  5. Activate

    Save and activate the automation.

Get the webhook URL from the campaign's Sources tab in RAVE™. Under Setup guides, pick ActiveCampaign and fill in event, product and step to build the full URL.

Choosing the event type

ActiveCampaign's list and tag triggers don't say what the person did, so set the event in the URL:

TriggerAdd to the RAVE™ URLCard wording
Subscribes to your opt-in list?source=activecampaign&event=signupjust joined
Tag "webinar-registered" is added?source=activecampaign&event=registration&product=Live%20Workshopjust joined
Tag "customer" is added?source=activecampaign&event=purchase&product=Ultimate%20Packjust purchased

Tag names here are examples; use your own. Use %20 for spaces.

Test it

  1. Subscribe to the list (or add the tag to a test contact) using your own details, for example you@example.com.
  2. In RAVE™, check the campaign's Analytics, or Events, last 7 days on the site's page.
  3. Open your page: if the campaign is live, the new person appears in your cards within about a minute.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing arrives. Make sure the automation is active and your test contact actually entered it. Contacts already on the list may not re-trigger it.
  • Events are skipped. RAVE™ needs a first name or an email. If your form only collects an email, the event is still recorded, and cards show the person as "Someone" (with a city when one is known).
  • The same person shows only once. The campaign's Duplicate window (minutes) counts the same email doing the same thing once. Give different signals different event= or step= labels.
  • Location is missing. ActiveCampaign only sends a city or state if the contact has one.
